World War two By Sam and Genta
This term we have been learning about WWII. One of our favourite parts was when we learned about Anne Frank. Anne Frank was a Jewish girl and she lived a happy life until… Adolf Hitler decided he didn’t like the Jews. Hitler started sending Jews from Germany to concentration camps. Anne and her family moved to Amsterdam were they thought it would be safer. But then Hitler strikes again and goes to Amsterdam. To avoid getting captured Anne and her family hid in her fathers office where she wrote her world famous diary. But after 2 years they were discovered and taken to the concentration camps and there she died.
We would like to find out why Adolf Hitler did all the nasty things.
Our opinions of this topic is that it is very sad and some of the things that happened were disgusting.
by Sameer-I learded that Anne Frank and her family was above her Dads office for two years after two years in her Dads office she start writting a diary when she finished the Diary she got found and she got killed of the gas chambers and one of the family memboers found it and pubish it. I leart about the black out if you dont paint or cover the window the people in world war two will be sent to jail I leart about evacees It was dangaros for the children in world war two so the children had to move to Wales , Cornwall and Devon
There are many thingsI learnt during the World War II topic. The Holocaust , a mass of Jews being taken to prison camps and then being killed by the Nasis.Anne Frank a Jew had this trouble and wrote a diary of all her fears and hopes called Kitty.A horrid situation called the blitz happened which carried on for 57 nights in a row.Evacuation, when children were sent away to the country side were it was belied they would be much safer. All of this was because of Adolf Hitler, a snooty mean man who caused the Holocaust and world warII.Over all I really enjoyed learning about World War II, but is very sad considering how many lives were lost.I would like to learn more about Adolf Hitler and all about his life.
Our favourite part was learning about evacuation and how the children were sent away from ther homes to places like Devon, Cornwall and Wales and some went abroad to meet there host families. It must of been fun exploring the thier new billets.
2nd on the list was the holocaust . It was interesting but sad at the same time as the Jewish people were blamed for the First world war and were sent away to concentraton camps with bad conditions such as no heating or windows and the beds were no better than a few planks of wood shared by five people. Many people died such as Anne Frank which we will now talk about as our no. 3 subject on our list.
Anne Frank was a young girl with an older sister called Margo and had a boyfriend called Harry who she met at the school. When she was 13 she went into hiding in her dad Otto’s office for two years. While she into hiding, she wrote her famous diary with all her most deepest feelings and thoughts . In 4th of August 1944 the secret house was discovered and the Frank family were taken to a concentration camp were Anne, Margo and her mum died from dirty water, but there dad managed to survive.
We would like to find out why Adolf Hitler killed his wife and children?
We thought that it was very interesting and makes us realise how lucky we are. There were so many different part of the war tha were amazingly interesting. “I don’t normaly enjoy history but I’ve really enjoyed this topic” Quoted Amy . So overall we liked this topic.
By Maste and Tamzin – We have learned about rationing which means that in World War II people had a rationing book and when they wanted food they would have to go to the shop and they would only allowed small portions of food, like 1 egg a week. Also we learned about evacuation, which means that children had to be sent out of London because it was being bombed. The children were evacuated to Wales and Devon because they were safe. The children travelled alone with their teachers and had to carry their gas masks, a suitcase and labels on their coats. We would like to learn more about Anne Frank and Adolf Hitler. We think it is sad because lost of people died on the War World II.

Anne Frank: Anne Frank was a Jew she lived in Germany but moved to Holland because Hitler was killing minority groups. So she and most of her family lived in her father’s office because Hitler came over to Holland to bring all minorities to concentration camps and gas chambers.
After living in her father’s office for 2 years the Germans and the Nazis found her just before the war was about to end. Also the children who are minority and had to wear the David star on their clothing because then Adolf Hitler could know who was a minority.
We would like to know more about who told the Germans that Anne and her family was living in their father’s office?
We thought that this topic interesting but sad and know we are lucky we are to be here today.
We have learnt about Anne Frank and that she was a jew that was hidden in a secret room above her fathers office so that she would be safe from the Germans and not be sent to a concentration camp with her rich family. We also learnt about
Evacuees. Evacuees are children who were sent out of London to another place so they would be safe . We enjoyed the topic because it was interesting and sad. It made us feel lucky because we werent born during the war. Or favourite subject was Anne Frank and would like to know more about her as well.

Our topic was WW2 and we learnt about VE-Day. When Brition and her allies won the war they all celebrated victory in Europe. Also we have learnt about evacuation. It was when little children were sent out of London because their mother thought it was dangerous for them to stay in London. We learnt about Adolf Hitler, he was the person that started the war.He only likes people with blue eyes and blonde hair. We want to know more about Anne Frank.
Holocaust, where the Nazis tried to exterminate all the Jews, and anyone different. The Nazis managed this by rounding up all the Jews and taking them to concentration camps, were they were either killed by gas or died from hunger. The living were cramped into small huts, with 5-6 people sharing one bunk bed, no more than a plank of wood. The huts had no windows or heating and the poor prisoners had no food to eat, just dirty water with a bad disease called typhus that they died from.
To go with that, we learnt about a little girl named Anne Frank who had to escape Germany because she was a Jew and the Nazis would throw her and her family into a camp if they found them, so they went to Amsterdam. For a while, they were safe, and Anne grew up as a normal Dutch girl. But when Germany took over Holland, they weren’t safe anymore and it was too late to escape Holland, so they went into hiding in the ‘Secret Annexe’ above her father’s office. Every night, they would creep down to his office and listen to the radio, so they could understand what was going on in the outside world. Anne would always get mad with worry that someone might hear, but her mother comforted her and told her no-one could hear them. They were so carful, but towards the end of the war, they weren’t so much and somehow, somebody heard them, somebody reported them, and they were captured. Anne died of typhus in a German camp, a few days after her sister.

The things I learned about Mothers send them out of London topic are: Anne Frank when she had to hide above her farther office because the Nazis were capturing Jews and putting them in gas chambers and concentration camps. Also I learned that Adolf Hitler brained washed people to believe that what he was doing was right. And I found out that the children in world war II got sent to the countryside on steam trains because it wasn’t safe for them to stay in the country they were called evacuees.
Things I would like to know about ww2
I would like to know how old Adolf Hitler was when he died.
What I thought of this Topic
I thought this topic was ver sad because all of the people that died during it and what Adolf Hitler done to all of the Jews. And I think we learned this this topic so that we can remember it so we know what it was like .
Holocaust- Me and Alex leart about the holocaust and what it was like. They had concentration camps to put the Jews, Gypsys and Gay People. The idea came from Adolf Hitler and the Nazi party to exterminate them because he brainwashed them all to belive that Jews, Gypsys and Gay people made them loose in WW I.
Adolf Hiltler- Adolf Hitler was a Syco man who killed lots of races inculding his own wife. And only liked people with blonde hair and blue eyes and he killed himself.
VE-Day-Was the landing of the allies on the coast of Normandy and they tried to push Nazies out of Normandy.
Our topic is about World war II and we have been learning about Evacuation, It’s about little children being sent out of their homes. They ether went to Wales , Cornwall or Devon. When they got off the steam train, a man called a billeting-officer brought them into the town hall, and people picked who they wanted but some children did not get picked because they were either too small, too tall or too weak. We would like to learn more about Anne Frank and her life in the war. We have liked this topic, but we did not like the way Adolf Hitler and his army acted. It is good to learn new things about the past. I thought Morrison shelters were different, and the videos about evacuation were interesting.

This is what we learnt about World War II. We have learnt about the Blitz which was 57 days of bombing throughout London by the Germans. They also had to have a black out because otherwise the Germans might spot the Londoners!
When the Germans lost world war I they blamed it on the Jews so when that was announced Jews were not allowed to go school and Hitler made something called prison camps and some of the Jews went to Holland. some mums brought back their children because nothing was happening. We would like to learn more about Adolf Hitler and Winston Churchill. We also want to learn more about VE day. We really like this Topic
Our topic was about World War II. We learnt about the Evacuation, Blitz and also the Holocaust. The evacuation was when the children in big towns like Newcastle and London were sent to safer places in the country side where it was less likely that bombs would drop. Also we learned about the Blitz, the blitz lasted for 57 day’s so all over london all the windows were blacked out so the planes didn’t know where to bomb. The holocaust was an important part of world war II. It was when Adolf Hitler who was the leader of the Nazi party decided to exterminate the whole Jewish race just because of what they were. We want to learn a bit more about Anne Frank and about the rationing. We think that the topic was very interesting and we’ve learnt lots of things that we did not know before for example we learnt a lot more about our family in world war II.
